PHC Virtual Program Featuring Dr. Piotr Przybylski - Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 6:00 p.m. (CDT) - "Polish Unity in the Face of Danger: Events that Influenced the History of Europe"

Dr. Przybylski’s presentation will be on the distinct and tumultuous periods in the European history when Polish patriotism and victory over the enemies saved Poland and neighbor countries and at times even rescued the whole Europe. He will also describe the threats to freedom of European countries caused by Teutonic Order, Sweden, Ottoman Turks, and Soviet Union.

In 1608, Polish master craftsmen arrived in Jamestown to help establish industries and
businesses in the new British Colony. However, Poles were not granted the same freedom as
their fellow Englishmen which led to the first Polish Suffrage movement.
